Allergy and Immunology

Disorders that occur as a result of the body’s excessive reaction to various foreign substances are called allergic diseases. Immunological diseases are diseases that target the body’s immune system. Allergy and Immunology departments of health institutions deal with these two disease groups . Allergy and Immunology departments for children and adults offer well-equipped examination and treatment facilities.

ALLERGIC RHINITIS

Allergic rhinitis, or allergic rhinitis as it is medically known, is a disease mediated by the body’s defense system, characterized by sneezing, nasal itching, nasal congestion and runny nose. Allergic rhinitis is more commonly known as hay fever. This is not entirely true; Because the term hay fever actually refers to an allergic condition only to meadow, grass and weed pollens. In contrast, allergic rhinitis can be triggered by other agents other than pollens, such as pet dander, house dust mites or molds. The disease is common in all age groups. It usually begins in childhood and continues throughout life.
